The second tape in the live-series, this time a collaboration between shiggajon and the Sheffield-scene, represented by Le Drapeau Noir (already a collaboration between Chora, Hunter Gracchus, Part wild horses mane on both sides etc) recorded at Café Oto, London in September 2009. 14 people on stage - 21 minutes of very dense, somewhat bacchantic chanting. Released August 22nd 2010, ltd to 80 copies.

We want

We want to thank those of you who stayed up late to see/hear us at this year's festival of endless gratitude, we really enjoyed playing there. Also, we saw some people taking pictures and are very interested in getting our hands on such - please be in touch if you can help us out with this.

Mixtape #1

Our first mixtape is now at avail. This one is very limited, painted on demand, and contains material from our early cd-rs from "forklarelsen på bjerget" in 2005 up untill "shiggajon" on Ark Tarp, 2010. gig this saturday

A notice to remind you that shiggajon will be playing at Global this saturday. The occasion is the qbico u-nite, where we will be playing with a bunch of incredible acts: Jooklo Finnish Quartet, Frank Perry, and Hartmut Geerken. Music starts at 21:00 and we play first, so be there on time! People should attend the "warmup night" as well, featuring Part Wild Horses Mane On Both Sides (shiggajon members), Maurizo Abata, Johns Lunds & T.R. Kirstein, and Mouths Of The Irrawaddy (shiggajon members). It goes down at Ragnhildgade 1, friday the 7th of May at 21:00.

"Shiggajon" on ark tarp

Our first recordings and release as "the new shiggajon", that is as the expanded shiggajon. Cd-r limited to 60 copies, around 40 of which are for sale. Very march-band-like doomfolk sounds. Released by ark tarp and features their usual beautiful artwork.

Live 1: at the cube

We now have the first tape in the "live" series "at the cube" available. It contains material by us and Dreamers Cloth on each our side, recorded at a show we did in Bristol last year. The DC-side is one track of the usual brilliant, catchy pomegranate-seed-dolphin-keyboard-psych - ours is probably the most rock-like set we've done to date. Earth-riffs and 4/4 drumming etc. Limited to 100 ex, 50 of which are for sale. Silk screened artwork inside.

Første ritual

This is the first tape in the ”ritual” series, focusing on music performed (by us) in ritualistic settings, thus often sound-wise moving into ”sound art” territory. We have 9 (out of 30) of these tapes for sale, and the recordings will not be available as mp3 when the tape sells out. Features silk-screened artwork and drawings by us. Ark Tarp release-party March 25th

A post to remind you of the Ark Tarp labelnight and release-party next week. There will, as the poster says, be concerts by mouths of the irrawaddy, dead black arms, bjørn puggaard, and mette mareridt - free admisson. The gig will feature a large shiggajon-related distro and, of course, the release of the first shiggajon-release as the "new" shiggajon - thus simply titled "shiggajon". Be there!

Attention

Our two upcoming tapes, the first ritual and the first live-tape are being pressed and packed these days, but will not be available until March, buyable at the Ark Tarp label-night and release-party in Copenhagen, March 25th. There might be a cd-r-version as well. The picture above is of the upcoming cd on Ark Tarp, which will also be at avail on that evening (ltd. to 60, so it should go fast!)
